This season hasn´t been a succes for Little Big Racing.
We have been plauged with all kinds of problems with the transmission.
We thought that we had the problems fixed before the last race, Semcon Drag Finals at Mantorp Park in the beginning of september.
After the race at Tullinge we sent the whole car to our friend Bosse Ragnebro to enable him to try to track the problem with the transbrake.
Bosse did really find a major problem with the transbrake solenoid witch also explained why the discs on therd gear was burned.
A new transbrake solenoid was ordered and by hard work of Bosse the car was ready for the Drag Finals. We picked the car up on our way to Mantorp and noticed at once that it worked better then ever, (when I drove it around to load it in to the bus.)
(The transbrake still didn´t work, but the cause of that is now known and will be fixed.)
Linda arrived at Mantorp early Saturday morning and was going to the scrutenering when i heard the engine reving about 4500-5000, looking out the window I could see that Vopar was barely moving…
O´key I said to Monica, that is the proof of our supected converter problem,
we don´t have to wonder anymore.
On Linda´s way back to the pits the car drove nice and gently again.
As this was the last race for the season, we thought that "Ok, we just try to run it anyway. We´ve had this problem all the season more or less…"
In the burnout on the first qualification round Linda started spinning the tires in second gear and all looked fine ´till she shifted to therd...the wheels did stop at once…
Whith nothing wrong to see under the car it was obvious that the converter had "gone to lunch".
So we just loaded up and became spectators of the race.
After som discussions we decided to keep the 727 transmission next year also, but to change everything suspisious inside…
With the season over, the car is right now at Rod & Race for some modifications on the front end suspension and some other minor work. After that the engine will be back at Samatha Racing´s shop for a check up and a new transmission will be built.

You may have seen that we have had some thoughts about changeing to Super Comp next year, but due to ongoing negotiations about next season this is uncertian right now...
